Story John Mellencamp

Songwriter, originaire de l’Indiana, il sort son 1er album en 1976, sous le nom de Johnny Cougar. Il enregistre Uh-Huh en 1983 en ajoutant son véritable nom, Mellencamp, et abandonne définitivement "Cougar" en 1987. En 1985, il est l'un des fondateurs de Farm Aid avec Willie Nelson et Neil Young, festival caritatif destiné à collecter des fonds en faveur des fermiers américains en difficulté.
